MINUTES FOR GA 7/5/12

OCCUPY JERSEY CITY - Meeting - Thursday, July 5th

7pm - 8:30pm

*General Assembly was conducted in a free-style and relaxed manner / there were no Facilitators.
Erik is sending brief notes for everyone's information.


ATTENDING:
Alex, Zeniobia, Shari, Anthony, Imran, Alfonso, Mom, Erik, Joshua several others....


*Shari, (also representing FOOD NOT BOMBS) explained that FNB started a rooftop garden in JC
*Zenobia concerned about JC political influence at Senior buildings and no fair time for alternative points of view.
*Alex, Zenobia, (and a small bird) helped design OJC posters for our gathering
*Erik delivered message from Riaz - a local media outlet is requesting a NEW letter from OJC re: Councilman Fulop and the issues of alleged corporate influence in politics, alleged threats to residents/critics, and alleged unethical contributions to BoE and other entities, etc.

WE ALL AGREED AT OUR MEETING / GA TO EACH WRITE A PARAGRAPH, AND BRING IT TO TUESDAY'S (TONITE'S) GA SO WE CAN BEGIN TO ASSEMBLE A NEW LETTER. WE SHOULD COMPLETE LETTER BY THURSDAY.

*Jersey City Peace Movement again donated several containers and packages of FRESH, SOY Ice-Cream - Shari and Erik helped assemble mini-sundaes for our friends, passers-by, and OJC members to enjoy in the heat.
